Ashley Johnson
2010 will be Ashley's third year with the Loncar Racing team. 2009 was an exciting year, topped off with the 70.3 World Championships, where even with a flat on the bike, she PR'd with a 4:24. Her race season consisted of several overall wins, including St. Patrick's Day Triathlon, Texas Man Olympic, PlayTri Sprint (Regional Sprint Championships), and age group wins at Lonestar Half and Kansas 70.3.

Ashley was born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas, where
she grew up playing competitive tennis. Her decision to not
play tennis in college brought her to Texas, where she attended
Baylor University. Burned out from tennis, she
turned to cycling and running to help fill the competitive hole,
and completed her first triathlon in 2003.

Needless to say, she got the bug and has now competed in
countless sprint and Olympic triathlons, including the Age
Group National Championships in 2006. She also began
competing in Marathons and qualified for Boston on her first
try in 2005. Always wanting to push herself harder, she set her sights on the Ironman and competed in Ironman Coure de Alene in June of '07, where she qualified for the World Championships, in Hawaii.

After spending the last couple of years focusing on the Half Ironman Distance, her goal for 2010 is to return to Hawaii!
Ashley is a Corporate Sales Recruiter and with the little time left outside of work and triathlon, Ashley enjoys listening to music, completing projects on her house, eating and attempting to cook.
