Eric Anderson

Eric was born just outside of Seattle, WA but spent most of his
life between Texas and Minnesota. He began running at a young
age after growing up seeing his father train for marathons and
triathlons. He started running competitively through
cross-country and track in high school and then competing at
Gustavus Adolphus College in the 400m hurdles. Upon
graduating Gustavus with a degree in Accounting, he decided to
continue his education earning a Masters in Accounting at the
University of Texas at Austin.
While in Austin he needed something to get away from the
stress of class and channel his competitive nature towards, here
is where triathlon came into his life. Eric completed his first sprint
triathlon the summer of 2007 just after starting graduate school
but then took the following year off because of class demands
and travel. In 2009 he completed what would be considered his
first full season of multi sport events competing in 8 races. After
a season of trying this on his own he is truly looking forward to
the upcoming year with the Loncar team. His schedule for 2010
will include his first half iron distance race as well as hoping to
qualify and perform well at Age Group nationals in Alabama.
