Lacey Brooks

Lacey was born in Dallas, and raised in the small Northeast
Texas town of De Kalb. She spent 4 years playing on the Varsity
Tennis team at Texas High School in Texarkana where she
earned the Texas 4A State Tennis Doubles Championship her
Junior year and Top 4 in Texas for Singles her Senior year. Lacey
continued her tennis career with a full scholarship to Louisiana
Tech University, playing all four years. In 2000 while working
full-time on her MBA, Lacey became the youngest division one
head tennis coach in the nation at Louisiana Tech, Until recently,
she was still competing and winning tennis tournaments around
the country.
Lacey has always enjoyed being outside and doing anything
sports-related. She began training for triathlons in January 2008.
In April, she competed in her first triathlon: the Playtri in Los
Colinas and placed 5th in her age group. Since then, she has
placed 2nd in her age group at both the 4 States Triathlon SMW
Regional Sprint Championship in Texarkana and at the DISCO
Triathlon. Her goal for the rest of 2008 is to keep up with
Stephanie's toes in the pool. Lacey's passion has led her to put
her tennis racket on the shelf temporarily to fully dedicate and
focus herself on triathlon training and racing.
When she is not swimming, biking, and running around White
Rock Lake , Lacey can be found hanging out with friends,
traveling everywhere, and enjoying all that God has given her.
Lacey is a Business Development Manager at Accretive Solutions,
a consulting and executive search firm in Dallas. She is excited to
be representing the Brian Loncar Team in all her races!
