Ralph Phillips

Born in Roanoke, VA but he calls home Abilene, TX since his father, a retired Lt. Colonel was stationed at Dyess AFB from 1955 thru 1965.

Ralph received a Bachelor of Business Administration (triple major in Accounting, Finance and Marketing) from Baylor University in Waco, TX. His work experience has been revenue accounting with Lone Star Gas and Mobil Oil Corporation. He is currently employed by IRS as an auditor, auditing individual, corporate and partnership tax returns.

Not athletically inclined while in high school and college, Ralph decided to join a master swim group in 1987. There he met other triathletes who encouraged him to go a watch a triathlon, which was Trinity Tri in Fort Worth. He got "hooked" and did his first triathlon in 1988 and has been doing them ever since.

Ralph has done too many triathlons to mention and has done10K swims, local 5K, 10K and 15K running races and marathons including Dallas White Rock and Boston. An excellent all-around balanced triathlete, Ralph is currently one of the Mid-Southwest region’s top 3 in his 60-64 age category.
