Travis Thomason

Travis Thomason grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area where he began his athletic career playing hockey during high school and college. He began running after college as way to get stay active outside of the gym and quickly realized it was something he enjoyed far more than the gym or hockey. Concentrating on running, he ran numerous road races from 5k's to a marathon before deciding that triathlon was the next logical step. Travis completed his first triathlon at the Four States Triathlon in Texarkana with a 3rd place Age Group finish and was hooked on the sport. He spent the rest of the season competing in various local Dallas races with consistent competitive Age Group finishes. Highlights of the season included strong age group finishes at Wool Capital, Toyota Open and Stonebridge triathlon where Travis had the fastest overall age group bike split in the race. The season wrapped up with a 5:03 finish at the Longhorn 70.3 in Austin. Travis is looking forward to an even stronger season next year and to representing the best tri team in the region.
