March 14, 2010 Loncar Racers Go For Green at the St Patrick's Day TRI

Amari has been doing a lot of slow LBP training lately in preparation for New Orleans70.3. The cat was finally let out of the bag Sunday morning at the Keller St. Paddy's Day Sprint Triathlon. She took the woman's title crown (1:01:09), 9th overall and posted the fastest bike split in the entire race (men included). The funny thing is just prior to the swim start, Amari's googles broke and she lost one contact lens and raced the whole race squinting out of one eye. Becca finished 2nd in the 30-34 ( 1:05:26). Eric (59:09) and Travis (59:42) continued to battle it out in the 25-29 category placing 2nd and 3rd respectively. Taylor greatly improved his time from last year (1:05:15) .Big Tom better known as Korey"s,dad dominated the 55-59 (1:07:03). Our newest Strong Arm Erin completed her first triathlon in 1:24. Congrats Erin!! The weather was awesome March 7th at the 25th annual Athens Triathlon. We had 4 representing. Brian, Scott, Rick and Chris Lane raced. Chris took first 60-64 ( 1;13), Rick took first in 35-39 ( 1:05) and Scott took 3rd 50-54 (1:17). Brian ( 1:39) beat his time from last year by more that 10 minutes.
