Nearly 800 triathletes came out to
Johnson Branch State Park on beautiful
Lake Ray Roberts to race to the beat of
good old 80's disco music. The string of
100+ degree days had broken and it was
a relatively cool morning, at least for
Texas in July.

The Loncar team had a fairly good
turnout of athletes. There were also lots
of friends and family members sporting
the new "Support Crew" T-shirts. The
usual comments of the "Bumble Bees
are here" could be heard.

Justin Meaders joined the team this year
as one of our physically challanged
athletes and finished his first Olympic
Distance race here. Great Job Justin!!

Top finishers in the Olympic distance
included Korey Sessions who had lots
of stiff competition in the 20-24 age
group. He placed third. Abby Cox and
Tiffany McGinn placed 2nd and 5th
respectively in their age group. Lael
Martin finished 1st as did Ralph Phillips.

In the Sprint distance Rebecca Bradly
took top honors as the fastest overall
female. April Hince finished 2nd, Rick
Rosales was 1st and Ann Dannis took
1st as well.
