The King Tut Sprint Triathlon welcomed
athletes to transition with a steady rain and a
cold 50 degrees. The lake was actually more
welcoming with a temperature of 68 degrees.
The rain tapered off as competitors attacked
the slightly hilly, yet fast bike course, and
then finished strong with a challenging, hilly
run towards the finish line. Proving that
Strong Arms would not melt, our team had a
strong showing, led by Tyler who was the
overall winner with a time of 58:48. Tyler’s
better half, Ashley (9th overall), was the
Female overall winner finishing not too far
behind with 1:03:50. Mudgett ( 14th overall)
was the Grand Masters winner finishing
1:05:13, while Demetra finished second in
the female 25-29 and Nick finished 3rd in the
men’s 30-34 . For race results click here.
